Master Piece Wall Decoration Featuring Tatreez Palestinian Stitches | Tatreez Sampler

A Tatreez Masterpiece is found in many aunties' houses across Palestine and hangs not only as a decorative piece each stitched herself but also as a masterpiece that offers samples (hence, sampler) of different stitches of traditional tatreez from across historic Palestine. We chose to craft this masterpiece in the blues and reds of traditional Beer Seba tatreez which historically was unique to that region which used the crushed mollusk shells found in the seashores. Stunning work is from Manjel Ma'qoud, a women's embroidery group we formed in January of 2024 in response to the increasing pressure Palestinian women are under due to the ongoing and increasing Israeli closures and suffocation of the Palestinian economy. These designs are only available through Handmade Palestine and through your purchase, we are supporting 80 women and their families.
