This extra-long and very beautiful hand-crafted guitar strap from local leather is crafted in Hebron, Palestine and features traditional Palestinian embroidery called tatreez. The motifs are seru or cyprus trees. Each region in Palestine has a different form of the tree in embroidery so this strap features the variations that illustrate the richness of tatreez. This is handcrafted by Manjel Ma'qoud, a women's embroidery group we formed in response to the increasing pressure Palestinian women are under due to the ongoing and increasing closures and suffocation of the Palestinian economy. These designs are only available through Handmade Palestine and through your purchase, we are supporting 10 women and their families. 2. **Hebron Fire & Earth**: Hand-blown Phoenician glass and hand-painted ceramics from the last family workshops in Hebron, utilizing techniques refined over five centuries.
3. **Bethlehem Olive Wood**: Carved from the prunings of ancient trees, ensuring the tree's health while providing livelihoods to the Holy Land Handicraft Cooperative.
