This hand carved nativity scene by artisans from Bethlehem displays the giant Israeli separation wall and watchtower, showing what today's reality would be like for the holy family. One on side is the holy family in the manger and on the other is the wisemen. Bethlehem once had a booming tourist industry, but today it is a city suffering under Israel's crushing military occupation, the city's agricultural outskirts destroyed by the separation wall and illegal colony construction. 2. **Hebron Fire & Earth**: Hand-blown Phoenician glass and hand-painted ceramics from the last family workshops in Hebron, utilizing techniques refined over five centuries.
3. **Bethlehem Olive Wood**: Carved from the prunings of ancient trees, ensuring the tree's health while providing livelihoods to the Holy Land Handicraft Cooperative.
